URGENT HELP REQUIRED
(For all the generous people who will be kind enough to contribute to this cause, Kirsty Brunton will be at the Ayr Riding Club Dressage Show on Sunday 23rd May 2010 at The Old Racecourse in Ayr from 10ish!PLEASE PLEASE bring stuff to donate to this sad situation!)
Calling all generous horsey folk. My mum is a helper with Blairgowrie Riding for the Disabled and unfortunately on Saturday night, their tack room was broken into and all of their tack and specialist riding equipment was stolen. The only things left were the skull caps for the children, no tack was left, including the neck straps used by the children to help them balance.

Although all the tack is insured and the police are investigating this matter, anyone who has experienced a theft knows that any insurance claims are not settled immediately. In the meantime, Blairgowrie RDA are now faced with cancelling all riding for the foreseeable future until this matter is resolved. So what does this really mean? It means that 40 children who visit each week will no longer benefit from their time with the horses and the pleasure and fun they get from sitting on a horse for half an hour.

This is why your help is needed. If anybody out there has any spare bridles, bits, reins, stirrup leathers, stirrup irons (they need to be saftey ones), girths or numnahs lying around spare that they could donate to Blairgowrie RDA in their time of need, it would be greatly appreciated. The ponies range in size from 13hh to 14.3hh. They are mainly cobs/highland types, with couple of finer type ponies.

If you think you could help, please email me at KMBrunton@hotmail.com and I will forward your details to Blairgowrie RDA.
